Peter Taglia is an independent global ICT market and technology analyst working as a product manager for a new ecosystem planning tool and as an instructor for product management.  He has a broad and deep product management and product marketing background for enterprise computer software spanning project management, product strategy and business development derived from 40 years of professional experience. Peter came up the ranks as a “product guy” holding individual contributor marketing roles for every aspect of product management and product marketing leading eventually to executive management product positions at some of the world’s leading ICT companies.

Peter started his career as a semiconductor engineer for IBM addressing the fundamental aspects of semiconductor physics as a quality assurance engineer. He moved into sales and marketing management at IBM pioneering an early deployment of virtual machine computer technology at insurance and government accounts. Since then, Peter Taglia has worked on enterprise BSS/OSS software for the telecommunications’ industry; most recently as Ericsson’s solution program manager for sales enablement of its MANO orchestration product, Ericsson Cloud Manager. Prior to that he held executive product management, product strategy, and product marketing positions with Oracle, Sybase, and Telcordia for OSS/BSS solution suites including CRM, Charging and Billing, Fulfillment, and Inventory Management including Discovery and Reconciliation.

Peter’s credits include several (5) enterprise software product releases supporting the transformation from circuit switching to packet switching, OSS/BSS for mobile networks, and next generation enterprise software solutions.  Peter is a certified Agile SCRUM Master and also a certified SCRUM Product Owner and was previously a certified program manager for SAIC/Telcordia. He has traveled the world mostly for training and customer activities and spoke at many industry conferences. Peter holds a physics degree and master’s degree in Operations Research both from the NYU School of Engineering and an executive MBA from Rutgers University.
